Meghan Dewald

Executive Assistant

A personal commitment to sustainable energy motivated Meghan to join our team.  Until recently, she relied solely on public transportation, car pooling and her own two feet to get her where she needed to go.  She is deeply interested in sustainable architecture, and hopes to someday build a straw bale or cob home.

As our Executive Assistant, Meghan is responsible for general administrative support for our growing company and executive support for our Founder/CEO. She also assists with marketing and publicity efforts.

Prior to joining our company, Meghan served as publicity director for the Burlington International Waterfront Festival's 400th anniversary celebration of Lake Champlain.  For the five years before that, she was the calendar writer for Seven Days, and also wrote occasional feature stories for the paper. She is a graduate of Wellesley College with a B.A. in English.

Away from work, the arts provide essential nourishment.  Meghan currently maintains a miniature-letter art project entitled “The Petite Postal Service,”  makes music with Home Items (an all-girl noise band), and is a founding member of the Burlington-based Viva La Voce Puppet Opera.   She became fluent in Japanese while living there on a study abroad program.  She lives in Burlington, close to the bus route, with her husband Gahlord and a very vocal and affectionate lilac-point Siamese.
