Purchasing an AllSun Tracker for Your Home or Business

With federal and state incentives, solar power is now more affordable than ever.

Homeowners

Federal Residential Tax Credit – A tax credit of 30% of the purchase price is available for individuals who purchase an AllSun Tracker.  There is no cap on the total dollar value of the credit. which can be carried forward until 2016. 

State Incentives – Many states offer financial incentives for renewable energy. AllEarth Renewables will give you up-to-date information on your particular state. In Vermont, the Renewable Energy Resource Center (RERC) offers a rebate of $0.65 per watt ($650 per kW) paid directly to the installer for solar installations up to 10 kW. Total rebate for solar electric and thermal is limited to $10,500 per household every two years. Ask about how you can get a free energy audit when you purchase a system.

Businesses

Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) – A tax credit of 30% of the purchase price is available for businesses that purchase an AllSun Tracker.  There is no cap on the total dollar value of the credit and it can be used to offset Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) if applicable. This credit can be carried back one year and carried forward as many as 20 years.

State Incentives – Many states offer financial incentives for renewable energy. AllEarth Renewables will give you up-to-date information on your particular state. For example, the State of Vermont offers businesses two options that will further reduce the purchase price of an AllSun Tracker.

Vermont Business Solar Tax Credit – Certain Vermont corporations with a tax liability in Vermont are eligible to receive an additional 7.2% tax credit from the state in addition to the Federal Investment Tax Credit.

Vermont Incentive – the Renewable Energy Resource Center (RERC) offers an incentive of $0.60 per watt ($600 per kW) paid to the installer for solar installations up to 60kW. Total incentive is limited to $36,000 per business for solar electric systems. 

Accelerated Depreciation - Businesses are eligible to depreciate their solar assets on a five year schedule.

 

Special Program for VT Non-Profits, Schools, and Government Entities

Incentives available up to 35% of project costs to qualifying organiztions for projects up to 25kW, starting at $2.50 per watt.

This is a great financial opportunity for groups that can't take advantage of tax credits.
