Vermont Solar Customers: A Do-It-Yourself Option

AllEarth Renewables is excited to announce its latest offering in solar energy solutions: DIY Solar Kits. AllEarth has bundled the components for a 12-panel fixed ground mount system into a kit that allows makers and doers to construct their own solar array.

“There is a very Vermont attitude of I can do that,” says David Blittersdorf, CEO of AllEarth. “As a Vermonter myself, I applaud that attitude, and wanted to create a product just for these folks. Our 12-panel kit can be picked up at our warehouse in Williston and installed in 2-3 days. It lets folks make the switch to solar for just $3,990.”

AllEarth DIY Solar Kits come with a 2 year limited warranty and include:

• Custom rack system of galvanized steel beams, rails and PV Panel clamp technology
• 12 ReNewed 210 watt PV Solar Panels
• Grid Power AC Inverter
•Wiring and ground mount screws

Kits come with easy-to-follow instructions. Footprint needed for this system is 12′ x 19′. Customers are responsible for registering with the Public Utility Commission and connecting to the utility meter. Information about net metering registration can be found on the Public Utility Commission’s website.

Kit systems are eligible for Federal tax credits, up to 26% for systems installed in 2022. This goes down to 22% in tax year 2023.
