Brand Ambassador – Summer Intern

AllEarth Renewables, Inc. seeks an enthusiastic self-starter to assist our Marketing & Sales team with grassroots promotional efforts, including representing the company at various tabling events throughout the state.

Overall, the role of a Brand Ambassador can be a dynamic and exciting one, with opportunities to gain valuable experience in marketing, event planning and management. You will also have the opportunity to get exposure to the wider marketing & sales discipline and develop skills in customer service and community engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Event Management
  • In charge of representing AllEarth Renewables at various tabling events throughout Vermont (e.g. County Fairs), including coordinating various logistical details of events, such as managing equipment, coordinating transportation and inventory of event resources, and ensuring that event spaces are properly prepared.
  • Responsible for the set up and pack down and liaising with the event organizer during the event
  • Oversee the company event space/table and provide a professional presence at all specified events
  • Assist AllEarth Renewables staff or any other vendors who may be on site
    
• Customer Engagement
  • Be friendly, polite and resourceful
  • Ability to speak clearly, knowledgeably and professionally about our products & offerings
  • Ability to support and encourage sales inquiries by performing on the spot site assessments and capturing customer details for follow-up by the Sales team
  • Be presentable and display AllEarth Renewables core values
    
• Monitoring & Reporting
  • Keep supervisor advised of work status 
  • Maintain event schedules and track attendance
  • Capture high-quality photographs during the event for general tracking and social media purposes
  • Conduct & report post-event evaluations for each event to provide general comments, feedback, and recommendations for future improvements

• Flexible and willing to take on whatever tasks are required in a small company
• Can stand and walk for long periods of the day and do minor lifting, bending, squatting, etc.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Qualifications

• Preferred concentration on marketing, sales, event management, business management, journalism, or hospitality. Experience coordinating events is a plus.
• An enthusiasm for renewable energy and an interest in sustainability.
• Basic language, spelling, communication, math, and computer skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Able to follow policies and procedures.
• Able to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
• Able to travel locally as needed. (Company vehicles available)
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Mobile phone required to contact AllEarth Renewables or dial 911 for any issues that arise.

Job Type: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Schedule: 20-40 Hours/Week; Variable/Weekends (as specified)
Salary: $19.00 per hour
