We hope that you had a chance to tune into the three-part interview that Ted Richards at WVTK radio conducted with our very own President and CEO, David Blittersdorf, during the week of August 11th. As a Vermont business, we have extra appreciation for local radio and its rich and essential function in helping community members to stay informed and engaged.
In case you missed it, you can tune in to the full interview below:
If you didn’t have a chance to catch David on-air, here’s a summary of his key points:
- Solar and other renewable energy sources are with us to stay, whatever the current political headwinds.
- While those headwinds may seem strong right now, you can still get the 30% tax credit on your home or small business solar installation IF AND ONLY IF it is installed and operating by the end of this year. (And remember this is a full tax credit, not just a deduction!)
- There is a unique tailwind right now: a Vermont law change that lets you in most cases increase your existing system to up to 25kW while still using Vermont’s simple solar registration process AND without hurting your current solar rate! But again you have to act fast to add that extra Tracker this year to get the tax credit.
- It is great to be in Bristol, where David got his start. It is the welcoming, vibrant community that AllEarth wanted to be in for the many decades to come, and David (and all of us) are very glad to be here!
To take advantage of this short Tax Credit window for installation or expansion of your solar system and get on the schedule to ensure timely installation, contact us ASAP to get on our installation schedule BY SEPTEMBER 1ST. (We don’t love this deadline either, but we want to know we can do what we promise.)

And thank you again to WVTK!
